      • Broad and balanced curriculum

      • Cambridge Primary, for Years 1 to 5 at DIS, gives our school a world-class curriculum to develop learner skills and understanding in English, Mathematics and Science. It is designed to provide delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum that suits their context, culture and ethos through ten subjects.

Cambridge Primary starts learners on an exciting educational journey. Typically for 5 to 11 year olds, it develops young learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged and includes assessment that proves and improves learning. The curriculum sets clear learning objectives and focuses on developing knowledge and skills in all subjects, providing excellent foundations for the next stage of education. It is flexible and adaptable with national curriculum.

It enables teachers to assess children's learning as they progress with two optional assessments: Cambridge Primary Progression Tests and Cambridge Primary Checkpoint. Cambridge Primary helps identify a learner's strengths and weaknesses and can be used to support learning and development. It prepares learners for a smooth transition to Cambridge Lower Secondary and beyond.

Subjects taught in DIS Primary are; English , Mathematics, Science , State (Tajik) Language, Russian Language, Information and communication technology (ICT), Art, Music, Physical Education and Global Perspectives.
